The Penrhyn is clean and comfortable.
I had a terrible experience with the shower in the room. it was incredibly weak, making it almost impossible to have a proper wash. On top of that, the Wi-Fi was highly unreliable, requiring me to go halfway down the stairs just to check my emails. The constant presence of the hosts felt intrusive and left me uncomfortable, as it seemed they were always watching your movements.

We had an awesome one-night family stay with a spacious room that had everything we needed, and the breakfast spread was a hit with the kids! I loved unwinding in the lovely garden area and the option of grabbing a drink at the outdoor terrace was a nice touch. Just a heads up, the shower could've used a bit more power, but it didn't really take away from our fun. 🌟

The double room was spotless and super comfy. Lots of hot drink options available. Laurie shared great local tips. Our kids loved the attention during breakfast, especially the birthday fuss!

Staying at the Penrhyn was delightful. The cleanliness of the room stood out immediately. Karen and Laurie, the owners, were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about local attractions. Our room had everything! The ensuite felt cozy and the stocked kettle with coffee and hot chocolate was a nice touch. Breakfast was a highlight. freshly cooked full English, with great service at the table instead of queuing. We didn’t feel rushed during our meal. the tram stop was a bit farther than expected. a 10-minute walk rather than 5. Despite that, everything else made our stay truly enjoyable. Would definitely consider returning.

Awesome breakfast and welcoming vibes!
We had a fab stay! The room was clean, comfy, and had a cool TV. The brekkie was a total highlight, full English done right! 🍳 Plus, they had a nice lounge area for chilling with a drink. Just wish the shower had a bit more oomph!

Families, you'll love this place
Caron and her husband went above and beyond for us! The little touches in the room like hot chocolates and face wipes were unexpected, making it feel like home.
It wasn’t inexpensive but still reasonable.

great stay with minor room issues
The staff were incredibly welcoming, offering valuable tips on local attractions and transportation options. Breakfast was a highlight, with an extensive selection of hot and cold items available in generous portions. Our spacious room included thoughtful touches like extra pillows and a hairdryer, adding to our comfort. I enjoyed the lovely garden area outside, perfect for evening relaxation.
Unfortunately, the shower pressure could use improvement.
